In a Fulfillment Center (it is an inventory place for online shopping business) the following conversation takes place:
"So you're saying one day this place will have just robots?"
"Business don't give a crap about creating jobs. They care about making money. With robots, you'll just need some tech guys to maintain and repair them."
"But if people don't have jobs to make money, who's going to buy all the stuff on those shelves?"
this is the precise question I had for a long time but gave up, I am not a business person to understand that thought process ;)
Overall this novel is a page turner.
